The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is developing a new voluntary Standard for Chain-of-Custody Certification for businesses interested in responsible, conflict-free sourcing and assurance. This session will provide an update on key issues facing the jewellery supply chain and how the draft RJC Chain-of-Custody Standard aims to address them. It will also briefly discuss potential linkages with other relevant initiatives, such as the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the SEC Rules for Dodd Frank implementation, the EICC-GeSI Smelter/Refiner Validation program, World Gold Council Chain-of-Custody and Conflict Standards, and Fairtrade/Fairmined Gold.
